At Edgewood, we want to generate the excitement and passion needed for Edgewood Basketball to be successul at all age levels. The basketball coaching staff is committed to maintaining a quality feeder program. Our summer camp and travel teams will emphasize the teaching of fundamentals to all age groups. The high school coaching staff will work directly with our travel team coaches to ensure that similar offensive and defensive philosophies are incorporated throughout our feeder program. Teamwork and sportsmanship is another area of emphasis for all players, coaches, and parents involved with the program.

Program Outline

• The fee for travel basketball will be between $150-200. This fee helps cover the MYT league registration fee and team insurance. Players will also receive reversible game jerseys and shorts. The final cost will depend on the cost of uniforms.

• Players will participate in MYT’s Fall League at Franklin Community High School. Games will be played on Saturday between Oct. 23 and Dec. 4. This league consists of 12 games

• The decision to participate in other shootouts and tournaments will be left up to each team’s coach and parents.

• 1-2 teams per grade level. 7-8 players per team. 1 head coach and 1 assistant coach per grade level. We strive to make travel basketball available to as many players as possible. In order to accomplish this goal, we need volunteer coaches. If we have enough interest, we will need coaches for the 2nd team in each grade level.

• Team practices will begin at the discretion of the coach. Teams will practice 1-2 times a week. Each practice will last between 75-90 minutes. Possible practice sites include our elementary and high school gyms, Tier Ten, and Twin Lakes Recreation Center.

• If you have any questions, are interested in coaching, or are unable to attend your assigned time frame, please email Matt Wadsworth mwadsworth@rbbschools.net
