Edgewood Grades 3-6 Boys Travel Basketball
Edgewood’s travel basketball program is sponsored by the high school basketball program. The purpose of the program is to develop the best overall basketball program a school community can provide. The goal is to work together and develop the most knowledgeable, enthusiastic and talented players.
Tryouts for the 2021-2022 season will be held in late August/early September. Tryout dates will be posted on our basketball web site. We will also use Harmony to email this information out to all boys in 3rd-6th grade.
The Edgewood Boys Travel Basketball consists of the following:
1-2 teams per grade level. 8 players per team. 1 head coach and 1 assistant coach per grade level. We strive to make travel basketball available to as many players as possible. In order to have accomplish this goal we need volunteer coaches. If we have enough interest, we will need coaches for a 2nd team in each grade level.
Teams will practice 1-2 times a week. Each practice will last between 75-90 minutes. Practice locations include our elementary and high school gyms. Time at other facilities will be rented when the school gyms are unavailable.
Parents must provide transportation to practice and games.
Participation in the RBBYS basketball league is optional.
